Fortnite developers will change the opponent selection formula to balance matchmaking for all users. The updated system will take effect with patch 10.40 and will be finalized as necessary. Matchmaking will be changed on all servers in each region.

Epic Games also announced that bots will appear in the eleventh season of the “Royal Battle”. They will behave similarly to regular players and help users improve building or shooting skills.

According to the developers, the bots will work together with the updated matchmaking. The ratio of bots to real players in the match will vary in proportion to skills – the better the user plays, the more real opponents he will meet in matches. The developers specified that the bots will not be available in the ranking matchmaking, in the Arena or in tournament competitions.
